After being laid-off from Modern Drop Forge in 2009, it was quite evident that the job market was extremely competitive. This was not only due the the economic crisis at the time, but the realization that most employers preferred industrial electricians that had some degree of welding skillls. With this in mind and the fact that I can service most welding machines, I went to Moraine Valley Valley Community College to procure these desired skills. I also became a Certified Welding Inspector by the prestigious American Welding Society after which I obtained certifications in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). The certificates I have obtained are:
